Fun with OZOBOTS

WHAT ARE OZOBOTS?

They are a small robot that helps students learn about simple code language and deductive reasoning. They are programmed to follow black, red, green, and blue paths that control its movement and speed in different directions. The goal of using the Ozobot is to introduce our students to simple coding and, at the same time, teach skills such as deductive reasoning while expanding their imaginations.

Finding out how much sugar is in products

We found out how much sugar is in some products. For example 18 teaspoons of sugar in a packet of Raro, 12 in Poweraid (that's 12 chocolate chip cookies) and 8 in a small can of coke!
We looked at packaging for cereal and found out the best cereals to buy. Some were really bad for us because they have far too much sugar like Fruitloops, Nutragrain and Cocoapops. Examples of good cereals are Weetbix, cornflakes and rolled oats.

Star of the Week

Bodhi is our star of the week. His award was for  'always doing his very best in all areas of the curriculum'

Tinkering With The Brainbox Kit

This week it was Room 15's turn to experiment with the Brainbox Kit and build circuits to make a fan spin. It was tricky but great fun!

Collaborating with our Buddy Class

We worked together to make a quality comment on Room 1 or Room 11's blog. They did the running man challenge.
